5 Things To Stop Doing In Your 20's

5 Things To Stop Doing In Your 20's

Trying To Please Everyone
I’ve learned in life that you can’t please everyone. People are going to disagree with your life choices, or not like you as an individual. You can be the nicest person in the world and still have enemies. Live life for you, sometimes you need to be selfish. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, look after yourself first.

Lowering Your Standards
Life is too short to live a life you’re not satisfied with. Stop lowering your standards to please everyone, because you don’t want to be labeled as “high maintenance”. If your goal is to attract a high-quality man, don’t give up. Women are so quick to be labeled as a “gold digger” for wanting a financially stable man. These labels are created to lower our self-esteem, so we’re not confident enough to chase our dreams. Stop listening to negative people, and create the life of your dreams.

Negative Mindset
I truly believe your mindset creates your life. I practice the law of attraction, and I’ve noticed a positive change after I started monitoring my thoughts. Every day you wake up, chose to focus on the positive, create a gratitude journal of all things you’re are blessed with. When you’re in a state of gratitude and positive thinking, you attract good things to you.

Living In The Past
Everyone has a story, we’ve all dealt with breakups, trauma, and hardship. We can’t change the past, but we can create the future we desire, with goals and determination. Stop focusing on things you can’t change, learn to overcome your traumas so you can move forward. If you need therapy, don’t be scared to seek help. As long as you’re making a progress, you’re changing into a better you.

Low self-esteem
How you treat yourself sets an expectation for others. Stop self-destructive habits like comparing yourself to others and finding flaws. When you have low self-esteem, you attract narcissists who see you as their next victim.  Every day when you wake up, look in the mirror and compliment yourself. Read and Watch videos on self-confidence. Put yourself on a pedestal, because you set the tone for how others treat you.
